My family is rather diverse. My mother is an immigrant from Puerto Rico with her family moving the Reading, PA area in the 1950’s. My mother was able to secure a scholarship and became the first Hispanic woman in Reading, PA to graduate college with a dual bachelors in English and French.
My dad’s side of the family is more tech, with my grandfather being a sales engineer for IBM and father managing large scale networks for healthcare institutions. My grandfather and father are both accomplished public speakers. I gave my first public speech at age 10 and still cherish live training and public speaking engagements.
I started my sales career at the age of 12 selling magazines door-to-door and by age 14 I had 2 newspaper routes. By age 16 I had purchased my own vehicle, paid my own car insurance, and held down a part-time job delivering pizza all while attending high school.
My first digital agency (Pagoda Media) was founded in 1999 with the help of a childhood friend and at the time we were the first agency in our local area to offer traditional print advertising and web design within the same team. In 2008 I bought out my business partner and continued to run my agency under the name BMull Consulting.
It was 2011 when I sold the agency to a competing firm by the name of Web Talent Marketing (now WTM Digital) in Lancaster, PA. This is when I decided to pursue SEO as my primary skill set as I had spent years learning how to build websites and manage teams, it was now time to complete the picture by learning how to drive traffic to the websites I created for my clients.
This led to a whole new set of experiences as I experimented with roles both in-house and agency side, looking for experiences that would further develop my skills as a professional. Notable accomplishments include building out a BDC center for an auto dealership and then breaking sales records, helping a nationwide direct mail house gain noteriety with content marketing, tackling one of my largest technical SEO projects by working directly with Isolator Fitness.
In 2017 I worked with Lebanon Valley College, Red Cross, and Youth Advocate Partners to develop an after-school program that would educate troubled teenagers on how to build WordPress websites and develop transferable skills. It was at this time that I joined Critical Design optimizing their website presence and developing new business to the point of having a cybersecurity educational roadshow that targeted Fortune 1000 companies.
I’m proud to say that I still actively find ways to give back to the community that has supported me for so many years. On occasion I work with Penn State College and Alvernia College to assist with adjunct professor work speaking in person regarding digital marketing topics. I’m also glad to state that I am working directly with professors at Albright College with a goal of building the best digital marketing course in the United States. This also happens to be the same college my mother graduated from in 1974.
In 2022 I am still doing what I can to give back to the community, releasing videos on my YouTube channel, creating soon-to-be published bog posts, all while serving as the Digital Marketing & SEO Director for Crimson Agility, an e-commerce focused group of developers that hail from Phoenix, AZ.
This is still my passion. Digital marketing (SEO) has helped transform my life. It’s amazing to work with business owners and see firsthand what can happen when efforts align, and websites become optimized. It’s truly game changing and it’s exciting to be part of the process.
